Meet Norman

Host

Norman Brown is the Host/Founder of PNEU PNEUMA GODCAST, Word Life Radio and Word Life Cafe, all based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He is happily married to Kenia, the love of his life, and together they have 2 sons and 2 daughters: Kevic, Zoé, Jeric and Malina.

As a U.S. Navy Vet, Norman served as a Nuclear Engineer. Norman's call is to preach God's word, as one commissioned to change the culture of the airwaves (Arts/Entertainment, Religious & Media Cultural Mountains). Educationally, he holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical (Project) Management and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics and Electrical Maintenance Technology. Spiritually, Norman comes from a long line of church leaders, including pastors, ministers, deacons, elders, evangelists, ministers of music and more, and he has been through many ministry training schools, courses and the school of the holy spirit throughout his entire life, where he received many types of training and education, especially as it pertains to the apostolic, the prophetic realm, biblical teaching and musically. He has served in many aspects within the local church: Children's Ministry Teacher, Director of Multi Media, Church Security, Founder/Leader of Small Groups, Hospitality and more.

Musically speaking, he also comes from a family of many musical/artistic talents in his generation (himself being a poet, singer, musician and producer): including singers, musicians and producers. Music became a passion for him at a young age, and he began to be part of a singing group at the age of 9, along with 2 cousins and his sister, led by their young uncle (Timothy Robinson) with whom he grew up as brothers. Also, Norman played the alto saxophone and was the number one saxophonist for several years while in High School.

Norman has been exposed to, or involved in, the music industry for decades and has made friends and acquaintances with some whom you may recognize: Da' T.R.U.T.H., K-Drama, Lisa McClendon, Shelia Lakin (John P. Kee Choir), Steven Malcolm, Michael Winans, Sr., Cross Movement: Cruz Cordero, Ambassador, Earthquake, Tonic and Phanatik, Richie Righteous, J-Silas (f.k.a. J-Johnson), Too Phliy, Uncle Reece and many more.

In 1997, Norman was fed up with Christian music as it stood, but more importantly Christian Radio, which was not playing any CHH, neo-Gospel, Reggae, R & P (Rhythm & Praise) and other ignored/underserved Christian genres of music. He had the heartbeat of a young generation of music lovers and wanted what they wanted: a hot Christian music radio station to play the best music the Christian world could offer, but also better than what the ungodly music industry could offer. So, in 1998, God gave him a vision for a Christian Internet Radio Station, in the early years of the internet, before anyone really knew what to do with it or where it was going. So, as the trailblazer he was made to be by God, Norman embarked on the vision God placed in his heart.

It was not until December 2009 that the vision began in seed form, becoming a reality, when Norman hit the airwaves with his podcast (under the umbrella of Word Life Radio), before the word "podcast" even existed, which he would later name "Pneu Pneuma" (Godcast). The word "Godcast" was added later as an emphasis to let people know what the podcast represents to the world, on behalf of the kingdom of God.

Norman also speaks 3 languages: English, Spanish and German.
